Pantry Tracker/Account/Delete your account
Delete your account
Three ways to permanently remove your Pantry Tracker account and your personal data. You don't need to be signed in to read this page.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible
There is no grace period and no recovery. Once you confirm, your account and personal data are removed from our servers straight away. We cannot bring them back for you.
Want a copy first? Export your data
In the app, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Export my data. We email a JSON file with everything on your account to your account email address. It's free on every tier and takes a minute. Do it before you delete, not after.
Choose how to delete
Any of these three routes deletes the same thing. Pick whichever you can reach.
In the app
FastestIf you can still sign in on your phone, this is the quickest route.
- Open Pantry Tracker and go to Settings.
- Open Privacy & Security.
- Tap Delete account.
- Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.
Your account is removed right away. You can then uninstall the app.
On the web
Opens at launchAlready uninstalled the app, or on a different device? Once the app launches, you'll be able to delete your account from any browser with your username and password. Until then, use the app or the email route below.
Delete on the web · coming soon
Signed up with GitHub or Discord? Those accounts don't have a password yet. Use Forgot password in the app first to set one (you'll need the email address on the account), then come back here, or use the email route below.
By email
Can't sign inIf you can't sign in at all, email us from the email address on the account. That's how we verify it's you. We'll confirm and process the deletion within 30 days.
The link opens your email app with the subject “Delete my account” and a short message ready to send. Add your username and send it. Prefer to write it yourself? Email support@pantrytrackerapp.com with the same subject.
What deletion actually removes
Deleted
- Your profile, username and login
- Pantry items, shopping lists and reminders
- Recipes you did not share, and your meal plans
- Calorie, nutrition and weight history, and your body details
- Exercise routines you did not share, set logs, runs and GPS routes
- Saved gyms, machines and notes
- Scan history and its photos, except photos that became a catalog product image
- Catalog submissions we rejected, with their photos
- Voice recordings, and any complimentary plan we gave you
- Support threads, bug reports and suggestions
- All sessions and any linked GitHub or Discord sign-in
Stays behind
- Content you shared publicly or with other people (routines, exercises including their photos and videos, recipes, cookbook listings) and messages you sent to a coach or client. It stays available to them, shown as from a deleted user.
- Copies of your shared content that other people already imported. Those are their copies now.
- Your product-catalog contributions (products, product and label photos, nutrition corrections, and submissions that were approved or are still waiting for review), de-identified with no link to you.
- Nightly database backups, kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten. A backup is never used to restore a deleted account.
A couple of things worth knowing
Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the Play Store first, otherwise it keeps renewing.
Households. If you're in a shared household, items you pooled leave the shared pantry with you, and the household's shared quantity history stays with the other members. Other members keep their own items. A household you own carries on under the remaining member on the highest plan (the one who joined earliest if there's a tie).
Still have questions? Email support@pantrytrackerapp.com before you delete. Once it's done we can't look anything up for you.
